She hadn't been out of her room in a while, it was classes, studying, writing, sleep. She never had time for anything else until now.
Granted it was a bit late for her to want to go for a walk, the weather was perfect. The sun beaming down, brightening up the world around her, a light breeze came in every few minutes or so, keeping the air around the brunette nice and cool. Spring was always tricky, you were never sure of weather you would need a jacket to keep warm or a fan to keep yourself cool. Either way she wasn't taking a chance.
A small white jacket slung over her arms as she finally settled on a spot to sit, a nice quiet and relaxing spot...a patch of bright green grass under a tree, the perfect spot to think, to hide away from the world, to just disappear without anyone to notice you were gone. Of course, she could have done exactly that. Vanish, go away. It wasn't like there was anyone to worry about her, to notice she was gone. She didnt have any friends and her mother was across the world, visiting family in Japan.
Wonder what she's doing... she spoke to herself, thinking about her mom as pulled a notebook from her bag along with a pen. Sure she came her to relax but that didnt mean she wasn't going to write. After all inspiration struck in the oddest of times, the weirdest of places and this, in the park, thinking about her mother just happened to be her biggest inspiration she's had in a long time.

________________________________________________________________________________ bleu couldn't have felt anymore out of place. she had fallen asleep two hours late because she was working on a project and stumbled into class almost half an hour late. and literally, bleu stumbled into class. an untied shoelace had tripped her and she fell straight onto the floor, right in front of everyone. of course there had been a horrible chorus of laughter to follow, and soon enough bleu found herself tomato red. and then when it was her turn to read a verse of a song she had written, she had found that it was forgotten at home. and of course, laughs exclaimed from every corner of the classroom. for the majority of the class, bleu had been a laughing stock and received two detentions. it was almost a race to escape the classroom and she knew that the moment she was out of there, she was going to turn on her ipod and take it out for a stroll. a rather long stroll, at that. perhaps she could forget of the horrible day that had passed her by.
and of course, that's just what she did. after a quick trip to her room to change clothes and charge up the itouch, bleu escaped the dorms and was off taking a power walk. she knew exactly where she was going, drake park. often there were a few students from school there and probably somebody she could get to know a little better. music blasted from the over-sized headphones, nearly causing bleu's ears to buzz. kings of leon, the local natives, and arctic monkey songs blared by and by, and occasionally a lyric or two would be sung. of course bleu wasn't going to break out into full song and dance in the middle of the street; she wasn't that humorous. for a brief moment, the young lady pulled her hair back into a bun and continued walking in the horrible pair of sweat pants she had purchased from some stupid store, probably hollister. the streets were unusually quiet that day and only a few cars filled the streets with smog. hopefully bleu would arrive at drake park soon, because it seemed to be getting hotter in those sweat pants.
beads of sweat rolled down bleu's forehead no matter how often she wiped it off with her hand. her eyes squinted as she read a sign in front of a somewhat green area, drake park. and then it struck her how stupid the name drake was for a park. bleu eyed some children playing on the swing set and in the sand box and released a giggle. perhaps maybe she could have a chat with one of the mothers, because there was nothing more bleu loved than children. (except singing to children, of course.) in fact, the whole reason bleu wanted to become a singer was to be able to sing to her own children one day and teach them how to develop beautiful voices, just like her own. bleu was about to walk over to the playground area when she saw an empty bench for sitting. the teenager wandered over to the bench and silenced her ipod, suddenly becoming fully aware of the area around her.
the sounds of birds chirping and children laughing joined together and seemed to create a beautiful song. bleu listened and enjoyed, adding her own tune and pushing back her own wish to sing with them. the constant clucking of the mothers in the park joined in. it was now almost like a musical symphony, each individual voice adding to it. bleu began to hum along innocently, content at her witty decision to go to the park with the incredibly stupid name. a grin spread across bleu's face and suddenly she felt totally at home in this place where, just hours ago, she had felt so out of it. now all bleu needed was a friend to share this beautiful moment with. she noticed more and more people from the high school draining into the park, and soon enough her humiliation was going to continue. any second a person in that class could walk in and start bothering her, and bleu suddenly had a hunch to pack up and leave before somebody noticed her.
bleu promptly turned her ipod back on and tied up her tennis shoes, which seemed to have magically come apart on their own while she was sitting there. some song by the local natives blasted from her headphones as they were placed over bleu's head. quickly as she could, bleu let out her randomly messy bun and shook out her hair so it coved her face. arms were crossed as bleu stood up and soon enough, she found herself beginning to almost run out of the park, looking straight down at her feet. but then, of course, how could one notice anything with blaring music and looking down? suddenly bleu felt herself bump into somebody and she instantly fell back onto her bottom, looking up all embarrassed. oh god, she was really in some hot water. "oh shit, i'm sooo sorry!" bleu exclaimed honestly, still looking up at the face she had bumped into only seconds ago.
