'Okay, let's keep it simple,' Hannelore thought calmly to herself as she tried to avoid touching anyone as she entered the mall. Fortunately Hannelore didn't have to worry too much about using public transportation all that much as long as she was willing to walk to the mall. It wasn't that far of a walk and the weather was actually nice for once so she didn't have to worry so much about sweating or getting sweat on her clothes... Well she did usually wash her clothing right after wearing them anyway so that wasn't a huge problem but just the thought of walking around wearing clothing that had soaked up sweat which was a good incubator for bacteria just made her skin crawl. The very idea of anymore germs on her skin was just unappetizing, unappealing and appalling. True, the human body was covered in bacteria that was essential to the bodies health but not all of them were beneficial and anymore then what was needed was too much. Hannelore just couldn't help but think of all the crawling things moving about on her skin, under her nails and in her hair. One of the primary reasons she still had pretty short hair was because of a incident with a Wikipedia about lice. But fortunately she was growing her hair back a good step her therapist said.
After opening the metal door and entering the mall, she had to stop for a moment, clenching and unclenching the hand that had opened the door, she had to fight for slight control to keep from throwing her bag down and ripping through it to get to her hand sanitizer. With a small sigh she opened her back calmly and pulled out the small bottle of sanitizer, fortunately she had brought a few other bottles, in case she ran out of one, or two, or a three of them... Hannelore made sure she was using the hand that didn't touch the door to go through her bag. With a satisfying 'pop' she got the top open and poured a small amount of sanitizer on the offending hand. Closing the bottle and dropping it into her bag, she quickly rubbed her hands together, the cool crisp feeling of the hand sanitizer was soothing to her and she couldn't help but smile.
Now for the reason Hannelore was here, at the mall, in the public. She wanted to get an accessory for Gizzit, her iPad, and she just didn't want to wait to get it shipped to her, a small bit of impatience showed that Hannelore was no different then anyone else her own age, a good thing really and she was glad for once. Finally with her hands clean she finally became fully aware of her surroundings and looked around, the mall was busy, the hum of human conversations, music and people walking buzzed around Hannelore's head. More people then Hannelore was ever used to seeing walked back and forth, going into stores, socializing. Socializing was far from anything Hannelore ever wanted to do but she had to chin up and do it. She wanted that accessory and she didn't want to be forever kept back from people. With a determined look on her face she set off towards the Apple store.
Hannelore had to narrowly dodge through people as she walked, the determined look on her face quickly vanished as she timidly moved throughout the crowded mall, holding her bag tightly to her chest. She glanced back and forth, from the left side of the mall to the right side and then back to the throng of people that coalesced around her. Finally sighting the Apple store, her heart jumped in her chest. Salvation! With hurried steps, Hannelore ducked into the Apple store and let out a sigh of relief. But she had not escaped the crowds. Crowded around each table were people messing around with each Apple product. Just the idea of touching one of those germ infested units made Hannelore want to retch...
"Excuse me," a voice sounded near by. Hannelore jumped with a slight noise of surprise escaping her lips. One of the blue shirted Apple assistants stepped back in surprise. "Oh, sorry, didn't mean to surprise you like that. Do you need any help?" He asked, his voice calm and controlled. Hannelore couldn't stop a blush from forming on her cheeks as she quickly clutched at her bag and shook her head quickly, her blonde hair whipping around quickly. "Uh, alright, just ask if you need any help." The man said and went off to help someone else. The heated feeling of the blush on her cheeks slowly vanished and Hannelore started to breathe more calmly. All this for some piece of technology? Oh bother...

She's an underdog, Lives next door to me, She's always heard you won't amount to anything, And it kills me to watch the agony beyond her eyes, Milo had never been what one would call a klutz, in fact the kid had always been pretty good on his feet. He wasn’t the kid that usually dropped things, or accidently broke things. But hey, everyone had their off day and Milo Cruz was a normal guy and he too, had his off days. For example, a few days prior to the one that day, he’d made the mistake of leaving his iPhone out and got it stolen. Yes, the fifteen year old had an iPhone (emphasis on the had) and he had loved it. However, his aunt seemed to pity his situation of moving in with her and offered to replace it. Score? Yes. All he had to do was go get it and he was back on his way. He could replace the songs and apps and be good to go. He’d have done it sooner, but his aunt had been busy with work and didn’t have the time to take him to get it. It was slightly frustrating, but Milo was rather impatient. He needed her with him if he wanted her paying for the phone bill though, so he had to wait. He was trying to be patient, but that didn’t always work out well for him. Impatience meant a rather grouchy and irritable Milo. So, to fix his irritable nature, the kid decided to go to the mall and check out the iPhones. He could look at the black ones and the white ones and decide which he wanted. He had a black one before, but was up for a change. That left only one issue… Getting there.
In the end he walked. It was nice out, and he missed his usual bus so he just walked. It really wasn’t that far from his house and though he’d only been there a week, he had the place memorized. Why? The fact he hadn’t started school until a week after moving there, so he’d been able to explore while his aunt was at work. If he could wander the streets of Chicago, he could handle Sioux Falls… He chuckled as he moved down the sidewalk, hands shoved into the pockets of his faded jeans. He’d always hated Sioux Falls growing up, he hated going there to visit his aunt. But now that he lived there, he didn’t mind it so much. He kind of missed the big city, but he had to admit that South Dakota had a charm to it that the smog of Chicago lacked. One more left turn and the shape of the mall came into view, making Milo walk faster without even realizing it. He would easily admit, he liked shopping. Not for clothes, but for everything else. He loved wandering the mall, pausing to look at comic book stores, skateboard shops, anything technological… Even the odd clothes store. There was something really quite enjoyable about that, he didn’t know what it was but he definitely enjoyed the mall. And it’s food court, that was perhaps the best part of the mall.
He pushed through the doors with his shoulder, reaching back to hold it for a woman entering behind him. He received a ‘thank you’ for the gesture before the woman shuffled off. He debated his options he moved through the bustling crowd. He was bumped a few times, and as understandable as that was for someone his size, he couldn’t help but give a shove back each time. He wanted to get lunch at some point, but also was pretty eager to check out the Apple store. Not just for the iPhones he knew resided there, but also anything else within it’s walls. He wasn’t exactly a techie but he did like being up to date on all the latest things. He had his PS3, his PSP, had an iPhone, and a laptop. He was set for the next year before something new came out. He had more than his aunt did. She still had cable. Now, Milo wasn’t stupid, he knew where his Mom’s money had come from. It was the same thing that got him taken away, her nasty habit of selling heroin. She did it too, and that was more why he got taken away. Selling it was okay with the social worker, but as soon as she was caught doing it, well that wasn’t allowed. Idiotic bitch. Milo thought to himself, shaking his head. He loved his mother, but she was an idiot.
In the end, Milo hit the Apple store before lunch. Why? Because it came first in the mall. He slipped inside and headed immediately to where the iPhone display was. He looked down at the ones they had, not touching just yet. He looked between the black and white ones, lifting a hand to scratch the side of his head. From the front of course they looked identical, so he reached forward to lift them both and look at the backsides. He definitely was sure he liked the white one more. It just seemed more… Classy. And looked like it wouldn’t fingerprint as bad as his old one. He put them back, pushing the wire of the black one back into the display cabinet. He was just about to turn one of them on and play around when a sharp sound of surprise caught his ear. He turned to see a small blonde girl about his age looking rather startled by one of the workers. The man asked if she needed help and told her to ask him if she needed any and not once did the girl actually reply. Instead she blushed and just shook her head, looking like she was ready to faint or something. Milo couldn’t help but let out a small laugh, before shutting his mouth. Laughing at her was rude, wasn’t it? Hmm. He thought then moved a little in the girl’s direction. “Sorry for laughing… You just seem kinda jumpy,” He said, coming to a halt at a polite distance.
