When your heart is full of doubt
And you think that there's no way out Aerynne wasn't feeling 100% today, but she had made plans with Vesper to hang out. And she wasn't about to let him down, especially since he was the only closest friend she had. Sure, they both had trouble with approaching others but they just ended up meshing together after their project they had to do. She honestly wouldn't have it any other way, especially since he was her rock in a sense. He understood her, and she understood him. After all, that was the basis of a friendship, right? You have to have some sort of understanding to even consider one another a friend. It wouldn't have worked without understanding. And of course, trust comes into play as well. So, hell yes she trusted him. She enjoyed being around him, and the bathroom wall post about him being a teddy bear was correct. He had been there for her whenever she just needed a shoulder to cry on, and didn't once think about forsaking her. And, she appreciated it with all of her heart. They had planned to get something from Starbucks and then roam around aimlessly just talking. And, that didn't bother Aerynne if they didn't go to some specific place and just sit down. She was satisfied with just talking to him, and that was final. She checked the time on her cell phone and looked around, she hoped that it was cool with Vesper that she got there before he did. She had already ordered a strawberries and creme frap, and was slowly sipping on it so it'd last longer. And, it tasted so good. She only got that every time she went to Starbucks, so they knew exactly what she wanted without having to ask her. She basically was popular in her own little way, and of course she enjoyed being popular. It boosted her already swollen ego, and anything else that added to it was welcome. Except for the fact that she had a sociopathic side, a long with an antisocial side.. And, she constantly ended up pushing people away because of it. Sure, she was also histrionic and narcissistic but that didn't matter. Well, today they did.. But other days not so much, because her sociopathic/antisocial side showed predominately whenever she was feeling down in the dumps. She honestly was very picky with the type of friends she let herself have, and it showed. Especially whenever she ended up hurting a lot of people who wanted to get close to her. And, quite frankly, she didn't give a damn whatsoever about them. People labeled her as a bitch due to her attitude, and she just took it as a compliment, because she knew she was a bitch. And, it honestly didn't bother her one bit. She sighed quietly, she still hadn't spotted Vesper.. But, she wasn't about to leave. That would've been rude, and she wasn't going to do that to him at all. She finally spotted him, he was cute. She wasn't about to deny that, but she didn't have any sort of feelings for him like that. She giggled because he was spotting his spiky hairstyle as usual. words - 526 tagged - Vesper outfit - click herelyrics - Unstoppable by Rascal Flatts notes - Chyeah. credit - me! DON'T STEAL! And I’m tired of this stupid game, Running in circles for you again, Don’t blame me for what I gotta do, I won’t hate myself to be loved by you, Vesper wasn’t really your average social butterfly. In fact… He wasn’t social… At all. He’d much rather coop himself up in a corner with his guitar than hang around with a bunch of people. He’d been a loner for so long, company was usually a weird thing to have. There were a few people he hung around with, but it was never something huge. One of those people were, Aerynne. She was probably the closest thing to a friend he’d had, and he’d only met her because of a class project. He had nothing against her, but didn’t exactly fly out of his dorm to hang around with her. That just wasn’t Vesper. However, if she called up to make plans, he’d go along with them. Like that afternoon, he had a coffee and walk planned with her. Only problem was it was one of the weekends he went to visit his folks. They didn’t live far, but he’d been given a dorm, simply because his mother wanted him out of the house. Why? The same reason he was going to be late. ”Vesper please sit still… He mother murmured gently, tightening her grip on his jaw. He rolled his eyes but did as she asked, his only movement being to brush his fingers through the scruffy fur of the dog head on his lap.
Vesper cringed slightly as his mother pressed a small strip of bandage over the cut against his jaw line. It was nothing huge, but on a usual basis the face was avoided. Not so lucky that morning. At least it was just the cut, and the faint bruising that surrounded it. His ribs on the other hand? Not so lucky. Each breath would have been enough to make him cringe… If he wasn’t used to it. ”There…” she said, gently patting a hand against his other cheek. He nodded stiffly, standing up. He left the room for the front door without a word, and she didn’t try to stop him. Yankee trotted along to the door, sitting with a one-of-a-kind dog pout as Vesper slipped into his shoes. He leaned over, and patted the dog’s head gently. “Be a good boy, Yank,” he said quietly, before backing out the door. He turned and moved down the steps towards the lovely black Audi waiting for him. He glanced back to see Yankee’s scruffy face at the window, watching him with saddened eyes. Vesper sighed and turned back, pulling out his keys.
It didn’t take too long to get to the chosen Starbucks, and once there he made a quick park job and headed inside. It didn’t take long to spot the actress in training, so he headed her way. He wasn’t in the mood for coffee, for once in his life so passed the counter without a second glance. He came to a halt in front of her, giving a smile as he crossed his arms over his chest. “Sorry I’m late, got distracted and lost track of time,” He said, rolling his eyes. It was funny really, not even the world’s best people reader would be able to tell what he’d been through an hour earlier. Not if they looked at him right now. Besides the bandage, he looked downright chipper.

When your heart is full of doubt
And you think that there's no way out Aerynne shrugged slightly whenever he said that he late, it didn't bother her. She grinned genuinely at him, and gave him a small hug before returning back to her previous position. "So Vesper, how are you?" she figured he was probably in a bad mood, but she just was trying to be nice to him anyway. She also noticed that he didn't bother to get coffee to drink, but didn't bother asking him about that. If he wanted some, he'd get some coffee later. She just wanted to talk to him, and that was that. She lately had been having rough time with her personality 'disorders' and she really needed someone. Luckily for her, that someone was Vesper. He was always there for her, ever since that project they were forced into doing together. They both had argued with the teacher about not wanting to do it, but instead of getting a detention they decided to work together. And, they did a great job on the project after all. Hell, the teacher liked it so much more than the other projects the other students did. The teacher showed it to the other teachers because of being so proud. That honestly surprised Aerynne because she didn't really think they did a great job, but apparently they did. She looked around, taking in all of the sights... Tons of people were busy clicking away at their computers, typing up stuff, and sipping on their coffees. They honestly had no care in the world right now. Oh how envious she felt because of that. But, she didn't show any trace of emotion to sport her envy. She was just sporting a smile because of Vesper's presence. Talking to him made her feel better about herself, and she made sure he knew that. She glanced at him again, and sighed slightly. "Vesper, I've been feeling bad lately..." she trailed off, not wanting to continue that sentence. She didn't wanna burden him with more of her 'feeling bad latelys' especially since he probably had more on his plate than she did. Aerynne honestly couldn't compare her problems with him, because he kept most of his problems a secret, and she knew better than to pry. That was rude, and she certainly didn't want to be rude. Well, she sometimes was rude but only to the people who liked to push her buttons. And there was quite a few people who did that, and she obviously hated it with a passion. She wished they'd just fuck off and disappear, and she honestly wouldn't miss them one bit. Sure, that was pretty bitchy but then again she did take being called a bitch, a compliment. She honestly didn't care if they called her that, or hell even a spoiled brat. Although, deep down she really did care.. Because of her lackthereof 'social skills' due to her antisocial personality 'disorder'. She didn't think of it as a disorder, but that's what her psychiatrists labeled it as, along with her narcissistic, sociopathic, and histrionic tendencies. She thought they were just a bunch of quacks, and didn't pay attention to a word they said. words - 523 tagged - Vesper outfit - click herelyrics - Unstoppable by Rascal Flatts notes - Chyeah. credit - me! And I’m tired of this stupid game, Running in circles for you again, Don’t blame me for what I gotta do, I won’t hate myself to be loved by you, Hugs, hugs, hugs. Everyone he was slightly close to seemed to be giving away hugs. He didn’t mind hugs, but he wasn’t exactly used to them. Maybe that was because in the recent few weeks he’d befriended a few more girls, which meant more hugs. In fact, with the right person, he loved hugs. There was something about wrapping your arms around someone and squeezing them tightly that just cheered you up. Especially if they weren’t expecting it. Still, the physical contact made him cringe slightly over her shoulder as his ribs cried out in dismay at the hug. Lucky for him, it was one of those short and sweet hugs, so he didn’t have to worry about it too long, and before she’d stepped back his face was back into it’s smile. She asked how he was, a really rather simple question, but something about the way she spoke suggested she saw through the chipper façade, right into his rather bad mood. But he wasn’t about to just say ‘oh you know, Dad pummelled me this morning but I’m okay’… Because that didn’t sound stupid at all. Even if he did want help, telling a student wasn’t how he would have planned about doing it. There was nothing he could do, never mind her.
“I’m alright, a little tired. Yankee decided that a run at six sounded like a good idea…” He replied, giving his eyes a roll. Which was technically true, he had been up at six because his dog had wanted a walk. He usually didn’t stay overnight at his folk’s house, he visited for a day, then left that evening. But Yank had just gotten back from surgery and Vesper loved his dog, so he’d decided to stay with him for the night. “But what can you do, dog’s will be dogs,” He added with a smile as he gave a shrug of his shoulders.Ouch… He thought immediately, making a mental note to not do the action again. His arms were still crossed over his chest, he wasn’t sure why, but it helped to hide the odder pattern of breathing. His breathing was a little faster than normal because to fill his lungs meant pain, smaller, less full breaths didn’t hurt quite as much.
“Bad? How so?” He asked her curiously. He hoped she wasn’t sick, there was nothing worse than being sick. Of course, there were a lot of things that could have been worse. But prom was days away, and though he didn’t really want to go, some people did. And if Aerynne was one of them and was sick, that would suck. A lot. There’d be nothing worse then staying in her dorm the whole time, or spending the whole night perched over a toilet as the music pounded through the wall. Then again, he hadn’t actually asked her what her thoughts on prom were… He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, then turned, gesturing with a hand to continue to the door if she wanted to start the walk. He was fine standing in Starbucks, but she’d said a drink and walk combo, and as of now, there wasn’t much walk going on.

When your heart is full of doubt
And you think that there's no way out Aerynne frowned slightly because she felt like she shouldn't have even bothered asking him. She felt like she was imposing, but he.. Didn't seem like he was mad at her or anything so she shouldn't worry so much about it, right? "Look, Vesper.. Sorry for hugging you, also sorry for asking about how you were. I.. Should've figured it'd be a loaded question." she looked down, and continued frowning. He had asked her if she was sick, and she wasn't. She just was feeling very down in the dumps. She sighed slightly, "I'm just upset. I have no date to the prom, like usual. And, it's not really my thing. But since this is my senior year. So I'm pretty much forced into going since it's a 'grade'. Whoever said it should be a grade is beyond stupid." She figured it was a lot of the teachers' decisions to make it a grade since a lot of the kids were failing their classes. But, she wasn't. So, she felt it should've been optional for the ones who weren't failing their classes but she knew better than for hope for something that wouldn't happen. She realized he gestured to the door so they could do their walking and talking so, she finished drinking her frap and headed to the door after trashing the empty cup. As soon as she got outside, she started walking once more. But, slow enough for Vesper to catch up to her. She started thinking about what to say to him next, and couldn't come up with anything else to say, unfortunately. words - 265 tagged - Vesper outfit - click herelyrics - Unstoppable by Rascal Flatts notes - Sorry it took so long credit - me! And I’m tired of this stupid game, Running in circles for you again, Don’t blame me for what I gotta do, I won’t hate myself to be loved by you, Vesper blinked slowly as Aerynne apologized for both the hug as asking how he was. As far as he’d figured he hadn’t made it seem like either needed to be apologized for. He’s smiled after the hug, and his answer hadn’t suggested that the question was loaded. “Uh… It wasn’t loaded… And I don’t mind hugs, you just caught me by surprise… Not that touchy-feely you know.” He told her slowly, his ribs shrinking painfully at the thought of another hug. The question wasn’t loaded… She didn’t know about his Dad, so really, it was just a common question. Though thinking about his morning made him worry for his little dog… Poor guy. Surgery sucked for anything, especially a dog that loved nothing more than to run. No running for a week. Walks were okay in very short moderation. Yankee didn’t know what moderation was… It’d be interesting. “Really, don’t worry about it.”
He couldn’t agree more with her opinion of prom. Leave it to his school to make the whole ordeal for a mark. Who got graded on their prom? His school. Of course… Dateless, he knew that one all too well himself. One big difference, Aerynne was attractive, guys could be interested in her. Him? HA! He’d never gotten checked out by a girl at the school, nevermind had one interested in him. “I’m sure you’ll find someone. Even I’ve sort of got a date… Kind of.” He replied. Technically he didn’t, but in a way he did. He planned on staying for one dance and that one dance was with Sabina, so he sort of had a date… That wasn’t a date. He was confusing himself… “I’m not even sticking around. I’m getting my grade then getting out. Giving Sabina a piano lesson instead,” He added. He hadn’t really meant to say it, he didn’t need rumours flying around about that… They’d get warped from ‘piano lessons’ to something ridiculous like them screwing on the piano. Like Sabina needed that on top of the whore rumours. “But I agree, the whole grading thing seems fishy to me…” He added in a grumble as they headed towards the doors. Only Vesper would say something was ‘fishy’… “But other than prom troubles, you’re okay?” He double checked, raising a brow as he moved to catch up with her on the sidewalk. He didn’t really know where they were headed, all he knew was that it was going to seem like forever. Each step made his heart beat faster, which was normal for the human body. But each thump also made his breathing pick up, which was rather painful. Just ignore it… He thought to himself, keeping his expression and voice level and normal. It took years of practice to get as good as he was at hiding shit like that. And he was damn good, he should have been an actor. When your heart is full of doubt
And you think that there's no way out Aerynne stopped walking, she had lost all interest in walking anywhere. So, she decided to sit down on the nearest bench she could find. "Sorry Vesper, I suddenly lost all interest in walking and talking. I hope just sitting and talking works for you." she had no idea why she was so apologetic today, but she was. She mentally cursed herself for it. It was one of her bad habits that she honestly needed to break. But, just like her others.. It was hard. And, possibly never gonna break. So, what the hell? Might as well just deal with it some other way. She patted the bench next to her, making sure Vesper knew that it was okay to go ahead and sit next to her. "To be perfectly honest with you, no one wants to date someone like me." she repeated the words someone like me over and over again in her head. She couldn't quite grasp the meaning of it. What did it mean? Unless it meant, a girl who is self-centered, quick to push people away that love and care for her, and then some. Then, of course.. No one would date someone like her. Sure, she was attractive, but that didn't matter. She knew that it'd be a cold day in November before she found someone that could break through the walls she had forcefully put up over the years. words - 234 tagged - Vesper outfit - click herelyrics - Unstoppable by Rascal Flatts notes - Sucky? credit - me! And I’m tired of this stupid game, Running in circles for you again, Don’t blame me for what I gotta do, I won’t hate myself to be loved by you, Okay… So walking was out. Vesper was completely fine with that, not that he’d say it but it was a relief. His ribs were killing him as it was, walking only helped to make that worse. So sitting down was a great idea to him. He watched her take a seat on a nearby bench before patting to show him to sit beside her. He stopped walking and moved, lowering himself slowly to take a seat. At first his chest seized up as he held back a painful hiss as his rib squealed in dislike. He leaned back once seated and instantly felt some relief come into his chest. He rolled his shoulders back, relaxing against the wooden back of the bench, turning his head towards Aerynne with a smile. “Sitting works fine for me, either way is cool.” He told her, giving his shoulders a small shrug. “Man, you’re putting yourself down worse than I do. Don’t say that, there’s someone out there who’ll be happy to date a girl like you,” He told her. Was it an almost robotic answer? Yes. He didn’t know anyone that would date her, it was sort of like dating Hiroko… That just wasn’t something he could see. But what could he say? He’d always been taught to be polite, be a gentleman to every extent possible. He was supposed to be as close to a white knight as possible, that was how his mother had raised him. She’d wanted him to be the classy guy that girls tripped over themselves for… That hadn’t worked so well, but he was still pretty gentlemanly. That meant saying things like he had. And if he was to be not modest, he was a really good liar. “I know it sounds like bullshit from a ‘how to get over your ex’ column in a magazine, but it’s true,” He added, leaning slightly sidewise into the bench’s back, curling his one arm against his side for the comfort of his ribs. It’d be tough to use a guitar for the next week or so, that much Vesper was certain. The pain seemed to be getting worse and though he was good at hiding it, it would only keep getting worse with each activity he had to do at school. The guitar would bump into his rib, lifting the strap over his head… It’d be fun to try. He’d manage, he always did but that didn’t mean he was going to be excited about the whole ordeal. He shifted slightly to make himself more comfortable then raised a brow towards Aerynne. “I mean, me I can see being single until I become the next big thing, but I’m sure someone will wander into your life and surprise you.” He assured her, nodding his head with a slightly wider smile. Then again, just because he didn’t think he’d get with anyone, didn’t mean he wasn’t thinking about anyone… Because one particular redhead seemed to invade his thoughts a lot lately. When your heart is full of doubt
And you think that there's no way out Aerynne started to run her fingers through her hair, she usually did that whenever she was deep in thought. She sighed slightly, and looked over into Vesper's direction. "I suppose you're right," suppose? He is right. She shrugged slightly, she knew he was right. She just didn't trust that thought, regardless. Sure, she needed to believe him but she couldn't bring herself to do so. Again, the words like me repeated once more in her head. She cringed because of it. No matter what he'd tell her, she'd refuse to believe it. She knew he'd probably be frustrated with her not believing it, but oh well. "Vesper, you're a sweet heart. Any girl would be LUCKY to date you. I know I'd be, but.. I don't like you like that. I just consider you one of my good friends, and I know you return the favor. So, I don't have to worry about that statement being taken the opposite way of how I meant it." she grinned in his direction to add emphasis on the fact that she was being truthful with him. Sure, he was sweet, smart, attractive, as well as being talented whenever it came to music. Those were great traits in a man, that she was sure that other girls would seek out. She couldn't place a finger on the traits in herself that a guy would seek out. It was just too hard for her to think about. words - 242 tagged - Vesper outfit - click herelyrics - Unstoppable by Rascal Flatts notes - Sorry it took so long to respond. credit - me! DON'T STEAL! And I’m tired of this stupid game, Running in circles for you again, Don’t blame me for what I gotta do, I won’t hate myself to be loved by you, Vesper was right. As strange as that sounded to him, he liked hearing it. ‘You’re right Vesper’ or ‘I suppose you’re right, Ves’ were not things he got to hear all that often. So when he did hear them, it was definitely nice. He was modest about it yes, but that didn’t mean he didn’t feel a little pride. Nobody was perfect after all, especially not Vesper Monroe. He was curious though, did she actually believe him, or was she just saying that. Had she somehow seen through his perfect lying face and realize he was just being polite? He certainly hoped not, he didn’t have a lot of friends, and the ones he did he tended to trust a lot. He didn’t want to lose one because of lying. He didn’t like to lie, but there were things he had to lie about. He didn’t have to lie about him thinking there was a guy out there for her, but he was telling a white lie to be polite. That was okay… Right? “Of course I’m right. I’m Vesper Monroe.” He said, giving his best cocky grin.
Vesper was rather flustered by Aerynne’s words. Sweet heart? LUCKY? If there was one thing Vesper Monroe knew, it was that he was the last guy on any of Sioux Falls’ students’ minds. He was just your little loner in the corner. Most of the guys at school were huge, tall, buff and hot. Him? He was scrawny, quiet and definitely not hot. So did he believe what his friend was saying? No. He might be a sweet heart, but he was a dork. He’d learned over the years that a buff guy with a sexy smile always won the girl over the quiet dork. “Sure they would… That’s why I have so much dating experience in my past.” He replied sarcastically, giving his eyes a roll. Truth was, he’d never dated before. Except when he was about seven and one of his neighbour’s six year old said she was his wife. But that did not count. He was a virgin, he’d never kissed anyone before or really been hugged in any relationship manner. Obviously the girls loved him… Not. He’d accepted that and moved on years ago, when he was the next big thing, then he could worry about getting girls. As of now he was just trying to survive high school.
“Whatever, You wait, when I’m the next big rock star all the girls in this school will have posters of me in their house. Whether it’s on their walls or their younger sisters or cousin’s.” He said, grinning despite the sourness that overtook his mind. He didn’t honestly care about the other girls in the school, they were just peers in his mind. There really was only one girl he cared about, one girl he wanted to see him in a different light. And she was just a friend. The just friends issue… He was there to tell her about how great her boyfriend was, how he was happy for her. When really he’d just wanted to throw his laptop across the room and smack his head against a wall. Yeah. Life was full of frustrating situations.
