It was 6pm, school had let out a few hours ago so Sephina knew she was alone.
It would be a while before security or even the janitor checked the auditorium, she set up there. Lugging her guitar in one hand and the keys to the auditorium door she snagged off the hall moniter when he wasnt looking in the other hand.
She would have to be extra sneaky and careful if she had any chance of not getting caught.
Making her way to the entrance, she placed her guitar case on the floor next to her feet and put the key in the keyhole, opening the door. A smile spread wide across her face, reaching from ear to ear as she picked her guitar case back and and strolled inside, being sure to shut the door behind her.
She wasnt too good at anything, dancing was not her forte and neither was Home Economics and she was sure that she'd be no good at any kind of sport. This was it for her...the one thing she couldnt mess up. There was no way in hell that she'd screw up what could very well be the only thing she could ever hope to be truly amazing at.
She walked up on to the stage, after turning on the lights, and set her guitar case down once more, this time opening the case and taking her guitar out along with her pick.
Clearing her throat, she smiled once again though it was happier and much wider than it had been before. She placed her fingers on the neck of her guitar, lightly strumming the strings to give off a soft tune. She kept at it for a few seconds, next she started to hum, before she could stop herself, she had begun singing. Her voice seemed to echo through out the auditorium, beautiful and soulful. Of course there were alot of talented kids in school, most were in Glee but not Saphina, she was far too shy to sing in public. She recalled the time she attempted to perform for people and got such bad stage fright she was sick for hours after the show.
She still had hopes to be in Glee but they sang in public, sang in front of an audience...something Saphina could never do, not even in her dreams.
A few minutes passed and her song had come to an end, the strumming of her guitar ceased as well and just as she stood up to leave the doors to the auditorium opened and there stood the guard. He had finished his rounds upstairs and was now working through the first floor...the auditorium had to be checked first, of course. Saphina always had the worst of luck.
Didnt matter now, she was busted.
"What are you doing in here?" The guard questioned and Saphina stammered, struggling to respond.
"I needed a place to...p-practice..." she mumbled in response, stuffing her guitar back in its case and then rushed off the stage
"Im sorry." Saphina muttered a she passed the guard, giving him a small smile as she ran out of the room before she got in any serious trouble...
