Jonathan decided he'd get up without disturbing Carson. He went to go shopping for some baby clothes, he got stuff for a baby girl and for a baby boy since he didn't know which one they were gonna have. He really was excited to be a father, but at the same time he wasn't sure if he was cut out for the role as father due to his horrible past and relationship with his father.
He apparently zoned out, thinking about what he'd name the kid. And if it was a Jon, Jr. about what he'd teach him, and stuff. Also, he thought of how he'd react to having a daughter, and both thoughts made him feel overjoyed. And due to that, he started to grin wider than he had ever grinned before. Then that shattered because he got hit in the face with something as hard as a rock would be if it would've been what hit him, and what had hit him was a thought about his relationship with his father and how he was a lot alike in most ways. He knew that he was toned down a lot since he first dated Carson, but still.. He didn't know what he would do if something ever happened to where he hurt her badly. He wouldn't be able to live with himself. All of sudden the frantic calling of Jonathan by the clerk came, "Hello? Sir? Sir?!" causing him to jump slightly. "Oh sorry. I zoned out." came his reply with a slight blush to his cheeks. The older gentleman that was the clerk, nodded with a smile. That became apparent to Jonathan as a sign that he knew where Jonathan was coming from. See the thing is, people had ways of knowing that someone recently gotten married or fell so in love that they had that lost in thought look. So, Jonathan started to feel a whole lot better about it.
All of a sudden his cell phone buzzed in his pocket, it was probably a text from Carson asking him where he was. But, he was too busy trying to carry everything to the car after he paid. So, he couldn't get to the text in time. He was slightly annoyed because she sent several more after that, but he didn't care. It was his fault, because he didn't answer the first one.
He had this special connection with his wife that other married couples would be jealous of.. He figured she probably went scouting for places to paint so he made his way to the most obvious place she probably would've went. And sure enough there was her car. He parked next to her, and quickly made his way to where she was after making sure he was headed in the right direction. His face lit up as soon as he heard her say "Hi there, lover boy." He really enjoyed hearing her talk, she had no idea about that.
"Hello there sexy thing," he said as he bent down to give her a kiss ontop of her head. He was like a giant compared to the tiny girl who stood at 5'4" next to his 6'1" frame. He honestly thought she was the cutest thing from the first day he met her until now. Mind you, he still thought that but still.. He loved her for more than just that. And, he was beyond excited to be her husband. He wouldn't have it any other way. Why would he? He had the girl of his dreams, and more. She completed him in every way possible. There wasn't any doubt in his mind about their relationship. She was perfect in every little way. And, he was bound and determined to make sure she knew that every single day. He loved it when she blushed. He loved the way she made him feel. Hell, he loved everything. And, nothing in the world could ever change the way he felt about her. Nothing at all whatsoever.
He decided from right now on, that he'd make a promise to himself, and he knew for a fact that he had to keep the promise no matter what. And the promise was, that he would make sure he kept his attitude in check, and just let whatever she said negatively or done negatively roll right off his back. And, also he knew God was right about just turning the other cheek, because that was the right thing to do. And also, there came the golden rule, Do onto others as you would wish them do onto you which he followed to the T in most cases.
Other times he knew that it was perfectly normal to mess up every now and then, so he decided from now on that he wouldn't be so angry with himself if something went wrong. He would just have to do everything in his power to make it right once more. And, since he was pretty romantic that was like second nature to him. And he knew that he could be able to woo her anyway possible. Because she sometimes was very predictable although more often than not, she was unpredictable but he had gotten used to that. Because, he was the same way.
After he kissed her on the top of her head, he decided to give her a hug.. Careful not to squeeze too tightly or else he'd probably end up hurting her plus the baby. And, he didn't want that. And neither did Carson, so he basically had to make sure he was careful around her at all times.. And, sometimes that was like a thorn sticking into his side, because he hated walking on egg shells around her.. Afraid that he'd end up slipping up at any time. To be honest, he had gotten to the point where he thought even the slightest touch would hurt her. And, Carson had to constantly reassure him that it wasn't possible. And, that made him calm down in no time flat.
