[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]this is joelle. she's eighteen years old and she has a "twin" sister. i use quotation marks 'cause her "twin," alexa (who goes by lexy), is adopted. at first, joelle hated her, mainly due to the fact that lexy was adopted on joelle's third birthday... that all changed when they were four. their mom and dad went out on their boat, and left the girls at home all day (and night) with a babysitter, melissa. after dinner, there was a storm. joelle and lexy hid in the living room curtains and watched the storm 'til melissa told them it was time to go to bed. melissa sang them to sleep. in the morning, the two of them ran into their parents' room, but they weren't there. so off to the kitchen they go. joelle screamed when she saw melissa, asleep on the couch. lexy followed suit. the babysitter made them breakfast, and the phone rang. it was their grandparents. melissa helped them pack as their grandparents came to get them. the two of them didn't know for a week or so that their parents had drowned.
that was when the two of them really became friends. to this day, they are the absolute best of friends. they're the crazy type of outgoing friends who love to break the rules, and know every single little detail about each other. now, joelle... like i said, she's very outgoing and crazy. she doesn't like ob eying rules, especially since growing up, she and lexy never had many rules laid out for them. she loves the outdoors, and to laugh and make others laugh. and for fourteen years, she hasn't gone in the water once. she'll just flat-out refuse. ever since she was old enough to take showers instead of a bath, that's what she's done. she'll drink her water quickly so she doesn't have to look at it, taunting her from its spot beside her plate. she's deathly afraid of the water, and that's her biggest weakness.
[/justify][/blockquote][/size][/font]of course an outgoing, crazy girl who loves to make people laugh, like joelle evans-shade, will just need plenty of friends, right? that's a given. joelle's best friend, as i said before, is alexa rain evans-shade, her adopted twin sister. they'll need other friends, too. i can see the two of them being kind of popular -- not the kind of popular where everybody secretly hates them, but the kind of popular where they genuinely just have a lot of friends. it wouldn't even be that they're popular popular. if that made any sense. what i mean is, they wouldn't be the people that someone asks them who the "popular girls" are and they say oh, joelle and lexy. the two of them just... have a bunch of friends.
everybody has enemies, and joelle is no exception. enemies for a girl like her could be people who have treated her badly, people who have treated her friends badly, or people who spread rumours. any ex-boyfriends (which she should have a few of, right?) would also fall under this category. oh, and of course any people who push the water fear. try to force her to go in the water, or -- better yet -- make a horrible first impression by purposefully or accidentally spilling some on her. generally, people are cruel once they know about her fear of the water. they think it would be funny to play a water-themed practical joke and things like that.
now, obviously, people fall in love. and this is what might be the most fun part to roleplay. so here we are, and joelle's going to need a whole bunch of people in this category. i do have a nifty little wanted ad going for the one who's gonna be her final here... and, of course, although it's very overdone, the playby for that one is ian somerhalder. hehe. she'll also need some other people, though. people who flirt with her, people she flirts with. people her friends press her to be with, even though she doesn't like them. maybe a friends-with-benefits, which after meeting her final, she can try to stop with that... and if people want to take the ian somerhalder request, that'd be great. ;)
i also have a wanted ad up here for alexa rain evans-shade -- also known as lexy, joelle's adopted twin sister slash best friend. if anyone wants to take her, that would also be great... um, yeah. her parents are dead, so no need there. her grandparents -- if anybody actually wants to take on some old people on a roleplay about a school, go for it, haha. mainly what i'll need here isn't actually family. good and bad influences, people to trust, people who trust her, a mentor-like person, et cetera.
