okay, so this is zaryn kate oliver. she's seventeen years old, a singer/songwriter who just longs to be discovered, and a music student at saint thomas academy of the arts. she describes her mother as an "evil psychotic bitch" because her mom hates everything she does and constantly yells at her that she was a mistake, the product of a one-night stand with some guy she doesn't even remember. for zaryn, life used to be perfect. aside from the fact that she had no father. but other than that, yeah. perfect. as she got older, though, her mom got more and more fed up with the fact that she'd never even wanted to keep her daughter. around the time that she was twelve or so, that's when mommy oliver cracked. and when she cracked, so did zaryn.
the songs zaryn writes could fill up three or four albums if she could just get a record deal. they're just zaryn and her guitar, and her mom always yells up the stairs at her to shut the hell up and stop trying to launch a career in music because she isn't going to make it. that's what her mother thinks. zaryn doesn't care, because (one) she hates her mom, and (two) she's praying that if she keeps trying, she might get it. zaryn gets all of her ammo for her music from things that actually happen to her, or things that she wishes would happen to her, or things she dreams about happening. they all cover pretty personal issues. she has horrible luck with friends and boyfriends and everything in between.
she can be nice when she wants to, but a couple of years back she realized that she doesn't have to be. people aren't generally nice to her, so she's not generally nice back. zaryn hides behind this bitchy little mask, and you've got to be beyond close to her to see behind that. it's hard for her to even admit to herself that she can be a fake-nice bitch most of the time.
she'll need a couple of friends who can stand her and her kinda-judgmental bitchy self (eventually, these ones might be able to meet the kinder zaryn). if you have an abigail who might get along with her, go for it. they don't still have to be friends, but they might have been friends a couple years ago. maybe before zaryn turned into a bitch? then, of course, she will also need a bunch of enemies -- i'm going to be putting up a wanted ad for her mom at some point. ex-boyfriends and ex-friends would also fall under this category, as well as people she hates or people who hate her for any reason they can think of. and then lovers. zaryn's going to need some guys to be the subjects of her songs. if you've got a drew (teardrops on my guitar), a cory (stay beautiful), a stephen (hey stephen), or a john (dear john)... and they could have fit the lyrics of their respective songs... that'd be amazing.
