- - - okay. this, my good friends, is the strangest "twins" ever. i use quotation marks because they aren't actually twins, see. the one i already have is joelle (playby, nina dobrev). the one i need is alexa rain evans-shade (plaby, candice accola).

[/size]lexa goes by lexy. she decided when she was little that it was going to be spelt with a 'y' because... because she felt like it. if you can come up with a proper reason, go right ahead. now. background. lexy doesn't know who her birth parents are or why they abandoned her or even what day is her true birthday. all she knows is that she spent the first almost-three years of her life in an orphanage after being abandoned in a grocery shopping cart.

- - - t[/size]hen, on joelle caitlin evans-shade's third birthday, her parents put a bit of a damper on the occasion by adopting a toddler. the exact same age as her, or close to, at least. joelle spent a year or so hating lexy's guts. then, just two days after what lexy now calls her fourth birthday, their parents went out on their boat. let me just paint this picture for you. they lived in alice springs, california (i do believe this is a ficitonal town i got off of another roleplay site. if i'm mistaken, i'm sorry to everyone who lives there). three blocks or so from the beach. their parents hired a babysitter -- melissa -- for the entire day. joelle didn't like melissa. it's up to you whether lexy liked her or not.

- - - b[/size]ut just after dinner, a storm comes along. lexy and joelle hid in the living room curtains and watched the thunder and lightning and wind and rain. melissa sang them to sleep. when they woke up in the morning, the sky was clear. lexy followed joelle into their parents' room. they weren't there. then lexy trailed after her "twin" sister into the kitchen. melissa was asleep on the couch in the living room. joelle screamed; then lexy screamed. melissa was mad, but when she realized it was morning and her babysitting clients weren't home yet, she forgot all about that. she made them breakfast. as she put it on the table, the phone rang. it was lexy and joelle's grandparents. they told melissa something that made her go white. she helped the kiddies pack while their grandparents came to get them.

- - - i[/size]t was a week or so before they learned that their parents had drowned. this was when joelle and lexy actually started to bond. they became best friends. their personalities are extremely alike -- they grew up with a teeny tiny amount of rules, a love of the outdoors, a tendency to want to break any rules that were set in place, and this ever-present fear of the water. they take showers quickly; they drink water quickly so they don't have to stare at it sitting next to their plates, mocking them. neither of them have been in the water since they were four years old.

- - - t[/size]hese two are eighteen now. still best friends, and they actually call each other twins, even though they're adopted twins, really. they're the crazy type of best friends who know every little secret about each other and are extremely loyal towards the other. the playby for alexa rain evans-shade is candice accola. i know that this is a character who's kind of all laid out for you and you don't get to pick much, but i'd really appreciate it if somebody could take her...?
