-- Tristan Erinn Walker. 14. Freshman. Music.
Staring into space was a past time, as the wind blew against his hair. The sky was a pure crystal blue, the grass was clean and healthy. It was like a world, without war. A world with happiness, and nothing else beside it. Tristan's perfect world, he thought about it and sat up. His hands touched the dirt, where all the grime was. Ants crawled over his hand, and lady bugs flew around his head. He smiled, the sun beams kissed his already sun tanned face.
Sweat beading down his forehead, as he stood to his feet. Staring at the roof of the sky, he felt as though everything was wrapped up. The wars, the sadness everything, as he walked down the grassy plains. Staring at his small house, he knew this had to be a dream. The lakes were clean, and the sky was crystal blue. Cows chewed on the grass, children played tag in the fields with the flowers.
This was a dream, yet it was a dream, he didn't want to wake from. His fists clenched as he thought of it, this was the dream of a life time. He never wanted to wake up, it was as though angels were raining from the sky. Gazing down at him, and bringing him up to where they belonged. He sighed, as he heard his mother's voice. The voice he longed to hear again.
Running towards it, he saw her awaiting arms. Standing on the porch in a blue gown, with her auburn hair in a ponytail. Her blue eyes resting on him, as he came to her arms. They spun in circles, almost knocking her over. Yet tears pricked at the side of his eyes, she kissed his head. He felt so happy, the gods gave his mother back to him. Yet this had to be a dream, he pulled back to stare at her.
His mother existed again, she was here. She was here, and she was real. He hugged her tightly, tears coming down his face. He didn't want to wake up, as they rocked back and forth. He wanted her to stay here with him frover. Just to hold him, and never let go. He wanted his mother to look at him in the morning, compliment him. Kiss his cheek, and send him off to school. He wanted her to kiss him when he was upset, and hug him when he was crying.
He wanted his mother back, and now that he had her back, he didn't want to let go. This was his dream, his wish the wish of a life time. Tears came from his eyes, and he hugged tighter. She hugged back, kissing his head. He didn't want to awaken, he just wnated her to love him again. Just to be his mother again. Not to be just a memory on a piece of paper. Not to just hear her name and words from his father's mouth.
She was here, she was real, she was his and she never would leave him again. She would be his, now and forever and no one would take her ever again. Tears spilled from his eyes, dripping on her blue gown. She was his true angel, saving him from the abyss of loneliness. In this world in this small dream, he never wanted to wake up.
Pulling back from him, he saw her fade slowly, and smiled. As he closed his eyes, and woke up in his bed. He knew that it was a dream, and he'd see her again.
