Elliot wasn't ready for it yet. The lights too bright and the roar of the crowd growing steadily louder and louder until it stop suddenly as an announcement was made of the loud speaker "Ladies and Gentlemen.....I present....the Lady Madonnas!" A smile ignited upon Elliot's face as he looked back to his band-mates and transformed the smile to a smirk. They followed in tow as he hopped up lively onto the stage and smiled feeling confident about the show that would begin soon. He checked the tuning on his Rickenbacker 325 electric guitar then began to strum slowly riling up the crowd a little.
He smiled as he stepped up to the microphone "Hey, whats up?" he asked the screaming crowd "So the boys and I were thinking we'd start with...Run For Your Life...." the crowd started to cheer before the song even began and Elliot counted it in, the sound of the numbers muted by the screams of the crowd. Once he did he began to sing in a sweet and calmed voice.
Well I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or I won't know where I am
You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end'a little girl
Well you know that I'm a wicked guy
And I was born with a jealous mind
And I can't spend my whole life
Trying just to make you toe the line
You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end'a little girl
Let this be a sermon
I mean everything I've said
Baby, I'm determined
And I'd rather see you dead
You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end'a little girl
I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or you won't know where I am
You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end'a little girl
Na, na, na
Na, na, na
Na, na, na
Na, na, na
Once it concluded the applause rained in strongly and nearly deafened the boys. In unison they bowed as they let out a breath of air and prepared for their next song. For Elliot, this was the life.
