-- melody larissa harrison. twenty two. local. none.
melody was born in blairsville, georgia. it was an extremely small town, barely having a population of nine hundred. everyone knew everyone. you could walk to the local store and back without any worries. it was one of those towns that country music artists would shoot in to film just an every day small town life. kids ran around freely, violence was seldom and the town fair was the biggest event of the year besides basketball, baseball and football games. mel had lived there pretty much all her life up until now. her parents were a bit of hicks; they drank, smoked, and nascar was an usual thing on television. they didn't live in a trailer home or anything. her father hunted; something melody never liked because she hated seeing her father carry home a dead animal but respected him because it fed his family. she always respected her parents; even when they didn't respect her. of course, melody didn't have a regular life like most teenagers around her did. her parents strongly disliked the idea of eating fast food so all food was home cooked; even when they went out they'd either take food with them or when they got home they'd eat. that means not once has she tried fast food. since the town fair was the biggest event, it was always where you found your best friends, next boyfriend or next girlfriend. if you currently were in a relationship the town fair was the place to get away with anything dirty. make out on the ferris wheel, go behind the big stadium and be intimate - it was where sins and mistakes were committed. melody had never been that type of girl. sure, she had done with her then-boyfriend once and made out on the ferris wheel but she never went any farther. she just wasn't the type of girl to do that.
she had plans today. she had to go over to leo's house and cook for him since she didn't want him eating fast food another night in a row. mel was a skilled cook because her mother taught her when she was about twelve years old, meaning melody had eight years of cooking behind her to back her up. she could fix anything when it came to food; from making casseroles to baking chicken to grilling burgers. you'd be surprised what this girl could cook up. she strutted over to the mirror, applying a light layer of make up before taking eye shadow and mascara from her bathroom counter, applying it to her eye lashes and eye lids in order to bring out her brown eyes. if there was one thing melody couldnt live without it would have to be make-up. she never applied to much but just the right amount to bring out her eyes. she wasn't putting make-up on to impress leo or anything but she was just doing it for her own pleasure and comfort. she let out a breath and smiled at herself in the mirror, giving her face a brief check to make sure she liked the way she looked. jogging over to her closet she grabbed a low cut short sleeved shirt and some shorts. melody knew very well that it was cold but she was used to the cold. during january it got mighty cold in georgia and since she did cheerleading for four years she was used to being cold. she stripped off her pajamas she had wore all day up until now and pulled on the shorts and shirt. she pulled her hair up into a ponytail, making sure she got each strang pulled back. she pulled on her socks and then some tennis shoes over them. originally she had planned on wearing flip flops over, but she would need the socks since they were going to slide across his kitchen and living room floor.
she grabbed her keys and phone, jogging out to her car after locking the door to her house. She quickly slid in to her lamborghini and started the engine, putting the heat on full throttle as she put it in gear. she was being jumpy and excited. she had been in new york for almost two weeks and this was the first time she was actually getting out to go see someone or do something. she pulled out and started toward his house, arriving there within minutes. she stepped out casually and shut the door, pressing the clicker and locking the doors. she walked casually to his door, trying to act like she wasn't as excited as she really was to be here. she held her phone and keys in one hand, using her other to knock on the door. she was slightly scared and some what anxious but could you blame her? she was technically going over to a guy's house she had only met the day before and she didn't know what to expect. you'd be jumpy too if that happened. besides - technically, leo is her first friend she has made here so far. can't help but be excited about that.
