I’m not perfect but I keep trying, ‘Cause that’s what I said I would do from the start, I am not alive if I’m lonely, So please don’t leave, Vesper heard the soft sigh that notified him of Sabina’s presence before he saw her. He pulled his head back to give her a quick smile over the door of the fridge before going back to his searching. He pushed aside the orange juice, aiming his hand for the cream behind it. He didn’t see anything that sparked his interest, so he figured he could focus on his coffee. Then, as if to echo the fact he was focusing on his coffee, Sabina stated that they should have decaf. He really hadn’t thought of that, and kind of felt like a jerk. She couldn’t have normal coffee, and she was nearly as addicted to it as he was. He watched her arm as it passed him, grabbing the orange juice before pulling back out. He grabbed the cream and stood up, using his free hand to shut the fridge door behind him. He nodded slowly in agreement, moving to place the cream on the counter beside his coffee mug. “We should, I can’t believe we haven’t thought of it before…” He agreed, reaching up to grab her a glass. Honestly, he did feel pretty guilty. He tried going without coffee for a few days, just so that it wasn’t like he was mocking her… But he’d been irritable, snappy and had one hellish day. He’d made the decision that the coffee was a necessity for him, he honestly couldn’t got more than a day without. Which was okay for the most part, as Sabina’s sleeping habits let him get the coffee down before she woke up… Usually.
He placed the glass on the counter, turning to pluck the orange juice from her and place it beside the cup. Once her hands were free he grabbed her fingers with his and leaned forward to give her a soft kiss. He held that for a moment then tilted his head to kiss her with a little more depth, something more romantic and out of the blue. “Good morning Beautiful...” he murmured against her lips after a moment, before he pulled back, smiling down at her. He lifted their hands and brushed his lips against her fingers before speaking again, “How’d you sleep? ” He asked her, raising a brow gently then leaned forward to press another kiss against her temple. “More importantly, how are you right now?” he added. It never seemed to stop feeling great. Being able to look at her beautiful face and know that she was his, nobody else’s. Just his. Not mention that she always would be, even if something happened that split them up (which he certainly hoped would never happen), he’d always have a couple things that made her his. Their child was only one of them. He was feeling rather affectionate that morning, and he wasn’t entirely sure why. It surprised him, even more so that he hadn’t even had his full quota of coffee yet.
“How’s junior?” He asked her, slowly releasing her hands to turn and move to get his coffee. His ears were rather warm from his little moment of mushiness, but there was a grin on his face he was pretty sure couldn’t be wiped off. He forgot about the cream he’d gotten out and decided to just drink the coffee black. That wasn’t how he liked it best, but his mind was a little off anyway. He took a sip then turned about to lean on the counter. He smiled softly at her over his coffee cup, letting his hazel eyes focus on her face. Truthfully, he was starting to get a little worried. Well for one, they were going into month six and he was still freaking out. He was better, he could say the worlds ‘our baby’ without choking and wasn’t afraid of the bump anymore. But he was still so nervous, and that was only getting worse as they drew closer to the due date. Then there was his worries about Sabina. Was she healthy, was she eating right? Was she worried? Was she feeling self conscious about her belly? He didn’t want to outright ask her, but it often drifted by his mind. He and his mother weren’t on good terms still, but she had given him a few nicer words. Like warned him about the fact she could eventually have trouble sleeping, that she could get self conscious about the bump, that he would probably need to hold her hair now and then… Of course, that was the polite version. Hers had been a little more harsh and personal.
“Any plans for today?” He asked her, taking another sip of his coffee. He didn’t have lessons that day, so he was free. Hence why he was still wearing glasses, hadn’t shaved and was still sporting a rather messy head full of curls. Normally, if he had lessons he’d be a little more… Dressed. He took third sip, though it was more of a gulp then set the cup down, leaning back against the counter slightly. He crossed his arms over his chest, letting his smile widen a little. He was expecting the same answer he was used to getting. The one where she didn’t have plans and planned on just winging the day. He was fine with that, he had laundry to finish. He stepped forward, unfolding his arms to push himself away from the counter. “Because if you don’t, we’ll need to make some… And I have a few ideas brewing in my head.” He said as he moved to stand behind her, grinning. He wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his cheek against her neck. “Like… A scary movie marathon… Or a long shower… Or cuddling in the kitchen…” He murmured quietly, letting his grin grow.
Making every kind of silence takes a lot to realize, It is worse to finish then to start all over and never let it lie And as long as I can feel you holding on, I won’t fall even if you said I was wrong. Cred:Me || Song: Perfect, Hedley || Outfit:NEW ||Tag:Sab

cool your beans, my son, you look a fucking mess The aroma of the coffee was enough for her and it would be for the next couple of months, but Sabina craved for a sip of it. It was sad really... Though she would take the citrus drink over coffee a hundred times, before she even thought of drinking something that could harm the unborn child. Decaf seemed like a good idea but she didn’t want to take her chances with it anyways. She’d survive without it for just a while longer, until then she had to make due, even if the juice always made her feel a bit gross, it was good for her and all that nonsense and it was good for Jacob as well. It was funny how she could never retain information but it was anything having to deal with the baby she would have had it burned into her brain by the end of the day. Some of the neighbors told her that it was a sign that she was getting ready to be a mom, but she was sure that it was simply just for her well being and for the sake of the baby. Sabina shrugged slightly, grateful that he had gotten a glass for her, she never thought that it was this hard to do things for herself, but her large bump actually got in the way of numerous things. “Don’t worry about it; it’s been six months and its fine. Who knows, maybe I’m done with coffee for... well, forever,” Sabina said, the last part laced with sarcasm.
Sabina whined in protest as the carton of orange juice was pulled from her hand unexpectedly, But got the point as to why her drink was taken from her when his lips where against her, then having it turn into something much more romantic. Her heart thumped like crazy and she practically shot up to cloud nine at the contact that she loved so much. She smiled at his comment, though couldn’t help but disagree more. Despite what he told her, she didn’t feel beautiful like he said. But she wasn’t going to argue with him about it. He could be just as stubborn as she was but had a temper to match, though she never really saw that much. “Broken sleep, as usual,” she said in reply to his second question. Another normal thing that she was growing accustomed to. She would be awake all night with just small spurts of sleep tossed in at random places only to be awaked by a fierce kick to her abdomen. The baby was kicking a lot more often now. “I’m actually pretty good today. No kicking fit, not queasy feeling, no nothing,” she told him.
Sabina laughed at the junior comment, something she always found amusing. They knew that they would be expecting a little boy, named Jacob, but she could picture him being exactly like Vesper... Quiet, a head for of curls when he reached the age of a toddler and darling hazel eyes that changed periodically with how he felt. “He’s alright so far. No kicking, no hiccups, no alien escape attempts where his little nails are scratching at me. Actually, he’s been great for mommy so far today,” she said with a large grin on her face, happy at the use of the word mommy. Really, she couldn’t wait to hear it coming from the kid himself. Really, it excited her to no end and she really hoped that Vesper felt the same way about it somehow. It was been a while since they were extremely awkward about anything having to do with the baby and having him ask about how the baby was doing definitely helped turn her thought around about how he felt about it.
Sabina poured herself a glass of orange juice and taking a drink before shaking her head. It was normal for her to not bother to make plans for the day. She had attempted to begin to work on her paper but figured she still had time for it. Besides, movies, a shower and cuddling and spending time with her boyfriend just seemed a lot more appealing to her than college Psychology did, and she was never one to say no to that. Go figure... “I kind of love those ideas, I say we’d have to make though our plans for the day,” she said softly, as she placed her hands over his.

I’m not perfect but I keep trying, ‘Cause that’s what I said I would do from the start, I am not alive if I’m lonely, So please don’t leave, Off coffee forever. Vesper knew she was being sarcastic, but he couldn’t help but wonder what life would be like without coffee. First off, he couldn’t really remember a time when he wasn’t hooked on the stuff, he’d started way back when he was like thirteen. Then there was the whole fact he ran on the stuff, he was like a vehicle and coffee was his gas. It was definitely a good thing he didn’t have to go off coffee, because he knew what a terror he’d have been. Coffee really was America’s most widely used drug. He needed coffee, he was very much addicted to it. Heck, he was sure he suffered withdrawal when he didn’t get it. “I suppose. More than half way there. A cup of coffee will be the first thing I bring you in the hospital.” He told her, smiling softly. The soft smile was a cover for the twinge of panic he felt spring up. If there was one thing that kept coming back to set his former panic aflame it was the hospital trip. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do, didn’t know if he was ready for any of that. He’d get her there, but for all he knew the stress was going to make him collapse or something. He nearly laughed at himself. Collapsing was a little dramatic, but he’d have been a liar if he said he was totally cool with the whole thing. He could handle most things, but that was one thing he was still spooked over. He hated hospitals on a good day…
Broken sleep. As usual. Of course… A tremor of guilt flicked through Vesper’s body at that. He wasn’t all that aware of how she was sleeping simply because he usually couldn’t stay awake very long once in bed, unless he was distracted by something. And once asleep it took a lot to wake him up. A lot being a blow horn, cymbal or bucket of water… “I’m sorry, Sab. If there’s anything I can do to try and help you sleep…” He told her gently, shaking his head. Most guys probably would have used a petname in that sentence. Not Vesper. He hated pet names. One of his exes had called him her ‘Vesy-bear’. He hated it. He seriously wondered if at time he twitched when she said it, he’d hated it that much. He couldn’t complain on ho Sabina was feeling, there had been worse days. The cute little nudges were done with and the kick was full tilt kicking these days. He could just imagine the temper tantrums that Jacob would have in the years to come. Then there was the sickness, hm. Charming. So a good day was definitely something to be pleased about. “Fantastic.” He said, grinning down at her. Sure, the day could change in a moment, but he’d enjoy it for the moment.
Vesper loved Sabina’s smiles. Every single one, from the small, little one she had when she was asleep to the beaming grin on her face at that moment. He wasn’t stupid, he knew exactly why she was grinning. Her excitement for the baby. ‘Mommy’, that word made Vesper’s smile soften into something less grin-like and into something more affectionate. Something more like you saw in those dumb romance movies when the guy came back after six years away and found his girl waiting. He didn’t care what worries Sabina had about parenting, or what anyone else said about her not being old enough or ready. As far as he was concerned, she was perfect for the job already. If someone couldn’t see that, they were blind. “I told you. If he’s an alien and makes his escape, I’m going to have to force an adoption. Whether he’s nice to his Mommy or not…” He teased her, raising a brow as his smile morphed into a smirk. Vesper probably wouldn’t admit it, the mental thought of their baby having hiccups already made his heart melt a little. He didn’t know why, but something about that just made him squirm. And not a bad squirm, like when he used to get the stink eye from his Mom, but almost like… He really didn’t know how to explain it. Even to himself.
Of course she loved his ideas, was there ever a time she didn’t agree when he gave ideas on what to do? He didn’t think so. She seemed pretty keen on doing anything, as long as it involved him. “I couldn’t agree more. Though it seems to be going out of order, since I’d say we’re cuddling in the kitchen already.” He replied, brushing his thumbs against her palms, pulling her back a little against his chest. “Does that mean the shower comes next?” He murmured, turning his head slightly to let his lips brush her ear as he spoke. Really, he was happy just where he was, but he was taking a hint from the nurses. When he went along with Sabina to the ultrasounds and check ups, he often got to talk to the nurses, who seemed almost overly eager to talk to a first time, nervous Dad. And maybe it was because he was Vesper Monroe. Thank the heavens for patient-hospital confidentiality. A few had given him the same warning his mother had, ‘watch out for her weight gain issues’. He knew it was all the baby and he honestly had thought she was a little too thin before. He didn’t mind, and he didn’t want her to feel self conscious about it. So, he was making sure she still knew how he felt about her. She’d always be beautiful in his eyes. Making every kind of silence takes a lot to realize, It is worse to finish then to start all over and never let it lie And as long as I can feel you holding on, I won’t fall even if you said I was wrong. cool your beans, my son, you look a fucking mess If it was one thing Sabina knew, it was that she would never be without coffee after this baby was out of her. Even if that sounded bad to say. She loved Jacob, she really did but she really couldn't handle all the stuff this pregnancy was doing to her and her body. For one, she felt way heavier than she was six months ago. Back then at least she could get out of bed with ease and her pants didn't have an elastic on it. And secondly, the constant mood swings and food cravings. At times she'd go from bitching out Vesper to crying about it, in less than a half hour. And yeah, she really would try peanut butter with anything she could think of. And she was sure the kid would be growing up on french fries... Which probably wasn't very healthy but they had been one of her guilty pleasures the last couple of months. “As much as I would love coffee to be the first thing I get after giving birth, I'd much rather it be Jacob. Coffee can be second.” she said, a small smile spreading on her lips at the thought.
Truth be told, as more time passed.. She just grew more and more excited about finally having the baby.. and it didn't hurt to know that it would finally be out of her. It was starting to be a very long six months so far. Sabina was happy about the baby and how it had just brought her closer to Vesper but that still didn't change the facts that she was unhappy with how she looked and even more annoyed with herself that she was still a coward that hadn't even picked up the phone to call her parents and tell them about the baby. One that already had a distinguished gender, had a name and everything... And they didn't know about it all. Yeah, they were definitely not going to be happy about this..
Sabina shrugged slightly. There wasn't really much he could do. She had already tried most things that the doctor recommended so she could sleep better. From getting into a sleeping routine to how she laid in bed, and she couldn't really say that she was really all that stressed since everything was usually calm and relaxed in the home. Though a massage once in a while helped and baths really helped with the pain and aches, everything from her feet to her back and neck. “Don't worry about it, it just means I get to spend more time in bed, not something that I mind,” she said with a laugh. Jacob wasn't too bad when it came to kicking and such. Though some nights it felt as though it was the worst pain she had ever experienced. Though she was such a softie when it came to any kind of pain. “It is pretty good.. though it does mean he's going to be at it tonight,”
A laugh couldn't help but escape her, shaking her head at his words. “I don't know Vesper, if this baby is actually an alien then I must question you. Being your baby and all. How do I not know if you're an alien?” she said with a smirk of her own. Only they would refer to their baby as an alien... Yes, they were definitely odd about it but Sabina couldn't help but love it even more. Just to know that it was like no normal relationship was great. Something new and romantic, the baby was well.. It was something, just something that she didn't know. Was it a blessing? She didn't know. What was so great about having a baby at such a great young? Yeah.. nothing really.
Really, Sabina would pretty much do anything he wanted to. She was happy any day that he didn't have something going on because it usually meant the two of them spending all day in bed or watching all sorts of movies all day long. It may have sounded boring to others but it was what she enjoyed most since she really couldn't go out and do much. Being in close quarters with him only made it that much better, at least she thought so. “A shower sounds pretty good right now.. though a bath sounds a little better, if you ask me that is...”

I’m not perfect but I keep trying, ‘Cause that’s what I said I would do from the start, I am not alive if I’m lonely, So please don’t leave, Vesper smirked a little and rolled his eyes. Of course she’d want Jacob before the coffee, he’d meant getting the coffee after she held Jacob. Truth be told, he really hoped a few things changed for him before that day came. One was that ridiculous feeling of queasiness he seemed to get at the hospital. He wasn’t like the people that fainted, but there was something about he stark white walls, and overly clean smell that just made him feel a little weak in the joints and turned his stomach. He had a feeling that when they did go in, that would be the last thing on his mind, but once everything was over all of it would come back. And the last thing he really wanted to do was hold a baby when he felt sick. Actually, holding a baby was something that scared him period. It’d been a long time since he held a little baby, the last kid he’d held was just under a year and that was when he was eighteen. It was the little baby before that, and he’d held her when he was twelve. Yeah… He had zero practice as of late and that did scare him. What if he dropped the kid? Didn’t hold him right? He really wasn’t ready to be a Dad. “I meant I’ll bring you coffee after you hold him.” He told her, shaking his head.
Just because Sabina said she was fine with alack of sleep didn’t mean Vesper was cool with it. He didn’t want her feeling tired, didn’t want her body exhausting itself because she couldn’t sleep. He was beginning to think that maybe he was panicking a little over the small things, but he couldn’t help it. He also couldn’t help wonder if this freaking out was normal for first time Dads. It wasn’t just his freaking about the baby, but over Sabina’s health too. Everything she was eating, everytime she even looked like she was a little off balance put him into overdrive on the adrenaline and worry. Then there were the times where her hormones came into play… Those were his favourite times… Not. One minute she’d be bitching his ear off, then be sorry and crying for it. It confused him, and he really wasn’t fond of the mood swings. He was more than ready for the whole pregnancy thing to be over, even if the baby scared him shitless. At least Sabina would be back to normal, which meant he’d be back to normal too. And that could only be a good thing… Right? He hoped so. Back to when they’d pointlessly bicker about nothing, kiss in the rain and watch stupid horror movies for hours on end. With Sab being pregnant he didn’t risk bickering with her, didn’t let her out in the rain and sitting for long periods of time weren’t easy when she ran to the bathroom all the time.
“Well… he’s got to learn when to let Mommy sleep.” he said, smiling as he let his hands rest gently against her stomach. Okay. So those words felt more alien to him than anything he could ever remember saying. He didn’t even know why he used the word Mommy. It sounded too weird to his ears and almost left a weird taste in his mouth. He pushed his own discomfort aside quickly, keeping his arms around her as before. He ploughed forward, not letting himself dwell on it for too long, “I guess I’ll take the first nine months of up-all-nights when he finally comes around. Make it even.” He told her, being partly truthful. He doubted that Sabina would let him get up every night and do all the work, but he did feel he should take the first little while, just to let her rest and recuperate. That was if he could manage to wake up to the sound of the baby crying or something… With his log-like sleep it was hard to say. Though he had heard somewhere that when a couple had a baby they became like ninjas when they slept, snapping awake at the slightest sound.
“Well damn. You caught me… I’m an alien.” He told her with a grin as well as a chuckle. Something like that, accousing each other of being aliens… It was so old school Vesper and Sabina, like from way back in high school. Back when they didn’t have anything to worry about but the upcoming math tests. Back when they’d fall asleep together on the couch and nobody cared, just because he was a nobody and she was a nobody. He missed those days, he really, did. There were things he didn’t miss about them, like how he’d been too cowardly to ask her out. But he missed the time when things were simple. When they were in New York, when he wasn’t running to hide her from the press. He still didn’t know why he was hiding her, the world was going to find out anyway. He just didn’t want the swarms of people poking their nose in. He wasn’t ready for this kid himself, he didn’t need the world’s thoughts. Because it wouldn’t just be his fans that would judge him, it’d be anyone that read the article.
He should have known she’d prefer the bath to a shower. He was sure it wasn’t the steamy shower part she was against, but more the standing up part… She’d been bathing more lately and his guess was that it helped get her off her feet and help with the aches and pains of carrying a growing child. He smiled and brushed his lips just behind her ear and gave his shoulders a small shrug. “Or… You can have a bath and I’ll sit up on the flat part around it, and give you a massage?” He offered, tightening his arms around her a little. “Maybe you’ll even get a nap in there.” Making every kind of silence takes a lot to realize, It is worse to finish then to start all over and never let it lie And as long as I can feel you holding on, I won’t fall even if you said I was wrong. cool your beans, my son, you look a fucking mess Even as excited as she was, it still didn't mean that she didn't even have the slightest nerves about the baby coming. Truth be told, it freaked her out more than any thing. Tweaked her out way, way more than when her doctor told her as many pregnancy facts that she could get out of her mouth in the seven extra minutes she had left in her appointment, even when she explained about dilation and what was to happen to her body in the next few months. It was safe to say that Sabina shoved Vesper out of the room those few times. If she couldn't even handle it, then she didn't even want to see what kind of reaction she would be getting from Vesper. That she didn't doubt in her mind that Vesper knew something about it. But it was just the thought of having something that had been in her for what left like such a long time. It still felt unreal to her that she was actually having a baby even though she knew very well that she was. Her body showed that well and boy, did she feel it. It was a weird cycle.. Excitement, depression, nervousness, and right back to excitement. If it was making her head spin, there was no doubt she could say the same for Vesper. “Oh.. well then, my bad. I knew that,”/
Sabina nodded in agreement. She loved this baby and all, but she loved sleep as well. Even though sleep had taken a second place to the baby. But even that didn't change the fact that her body was tired and that she didn't want to get up out of bed half the day because her body and mind were too tired to even process getting out of bed. “He's a baby, he'll learn in time. Like saying his ABC's, potty training, how to ride a bike, play guitar.. or how to paint. Probably paint.” she said, a smile turning into a smirk. She shook her head at the thought of him being up all night with a crying baby. As cute as she thought it was, it didn't matter if he wanted to or not. She was going to have to help, it would always be a team effort and she knew that when most babies cried, it was usually for their mother. Besides, she would make sure that bassinet was near them for the first three months. “Actually, I'll be there to help you out every time. It doesn't need to be even time. There is no compensation for carrying a baby,”
Just like high school.. but just really different. For one, they were no longer in high school. Neither of them that that innocence that they used to have. He had made himself a great success and she was still in the same place.. except for pregnant.. As much as she wanted to pretend it wasn't real and just be like they used to be. She had done just fine the few days before she told him, but she was no idiot. She knew very well that she wasn't going to be hiding it, no matter how scared she was to tell him. Sabina pushed the thoughts away, forming a smile and playfully rolling her eyes at him. “Of course. With my great skills, I was able to tell you were one since day one. I didn't think you shied away from everyone else without a reason. You know, I had a theory that you were just studying us. Learning the way of the human... I'll make sure to lay off the alien movies,”
With the words nap and massage, she was pretty much sold on the idea of a bath. As much as she hated to change around his plans, she really would love what he was offering. “You know very well that I have never been one to say no to a massage,” she said, brushing a kiss against his jaw. “And after that, we could get settled and continue the evening with a scary movie marathon. Of your choice, which means Jason Vorhees movies are totally acceptable. And I promise not to fall asleep half way through the first one.

I’m not perfect but I keep trying, ‘Cause that’s what I said I would do from the start, I am not alive if I’m lonely, So please don’t leave, A painter. He never doubted that Sabina would teach their kid to paint, and he was perfectly fine with that. He’d try and teach the kid music, whether the kid chose to accept it or not wasn’t his choice. If Jacob didn’t want to do music, Vesper wouldn’t force it on him. Honestly, to Vesper it didn’t matter whether he was cheering at a recital, a little league game, or whatever activity and hobby Jacob chose. He’d just support him all the way. There was one thing Vesper would force on his kid, and that was to actually do something. There would be no sitting around playing video games all day… Wow… That’s really… Weird… Vesper thought to himself, blinking slightly. ABC’s… Potty training… bike riding. He couldn’t believe that they’d be in charge of all that. He knew it came with having a kid, but it was moments like that that reminded him that this was a long, long, long commitment. Maybe keeping the baby wasn’t as good an idea as he’d thought. Don’t even go there. He mentally snarled at himself. He couldn’t do that. Wouldn’t do that to Sabina. He’d made the choice, he was going to deal with it. He’d just have to learn to say goodbye to the carefree life he’d had and step into the shoes of a father… He wasn’t sure he’d ever get used to the thought of him being a dad. It just was so strange.
“No compensation huh? You say that now, but I’m willing to bet after a while you’ll just push me out of bed with your cold feet to go get the baby. Or you’ll give me diaper duty.” He teased her, smirking a little. He’d discovered that little bit of information, now that he slept in the same bed as someone. He might sleep like the dead and need a blow horn to be woken up… But even the brush of anything cold woke him up immediately. Feet, hands… Anything. He’d never really shared a bed before in his past relationships because he’d always had his own place and had been on tour for a large chunk of his last serious one. So the whole cold feet thing was new. Not that he minded too much, he very much enjoyed being able to hold onto Sabina throughout the night. Or at least while falling asleep, he didn’t think he kept a hold of her once he was asleep. He was the little kid who went to sleep with a teddy, but by morning the teddy was on the floor, not in his arms.
“But I love alien movies, don’t cut back just because you know my secret. So how’s my studying paying off? I’ve almost reached the level of global domination that your leader Paris Hilton holds.” He said, fighting back his laughter. Only he would say something like that, it was such an old school Vesper comment. And yet she’d always said she loved his dorkiness. She’d always laughed and teased, never made a negative motion towards it. His band on the other hand had sort of made him hide his dorky mentality away. They’d been just like the guys in his high school, the ones that made fun of him and pushed him into lockers. And yet, unlike high school he hadn’t just kept being himself. He’d though that shit would end with high school, but it didn’t. So he’d converted. He’d started spiking his hair, ditched the glasses and really truly left Victor Monroe in the past. It’d been a relief to be accepted, it had… But he’d almost lost himself doing that… Until he’d stumbled upon Sabina again. Slowly, he was finding himself all over again.
“You know me too well… and I know you too well.” He chuckled at her movie suggestion. He’d always been the Jason fan out of the two of them, and she still remembered that from way back in the day. And of course, the massaging thing was rather new. Back in the day he couldn’t have given a massage to anyone, but he’d gotten practice over the years and was pretty darn good now. If he said so himself. And really, who would say no to a massage?” He asked her, unwrapping his arms from around her to gently grab her hand, moving towards the stairs with a grin. cool your beans, my son, you look a fucking mess Sabina rolled her eyes, smiling a bit. Of course she has never known about her supposed cold feet until Vesper has mentioned it. She thought that he was just joking or something, she couldn't exactly tell if her feet were cold during the night. She guessed it was probably because of her swollen ankles cutting some circulation to her feet... Oh, how she hated going all technical about all these things. Reminded her that she knew too much for a girl her age. Hell, Sabina had always thought that she would never know any of this stuff until she was thirty or somewhere in that time frame. Not now. “...You know, just for that comment you are on diaper duty until the kid is potty trained. How is that for compensation?” she teased. Really, there was no such thing as making it up for each other. It had been an accident to begin with and it wasn't like it was torture or anything. Sure, it had its discomfort and at times she loathed it so much. But she kind of thought that it was worth it. Soon, they would be holding their very own newborn baby.. Yeah, still weird to think about.
How great it felt to have her dork back and she loved each dorky and “lame” comment that he gave. Really reminded her of being back in high school and messing around in his basement while just saying and doing the goofiest things with him. Sabina loved it and sometimes found herself wanting to go back to those times. Before responsibility, doctor's appointments, putting together a nursery and definitely wanted to go back before moving to Minnesota. She was happy that she was with Vesper but really wanted to be back in New York with the people that she had grown to consider her family. “We obviously must not live on the same planet or you have been doing a real shit job at researching us Earthlings,” she chuckled, shaking her head slightly. “Jacob is probably going to grow up on horror movies, that would be our faults, We're on the road to great parenting,”
“I think that is why we have always fit so well together,” It was too true. Sabina practically knew Vesper like the back of her hand. She had always been able to read him and knew almost everything about him. Even after him leaving to pursue his career and then getting him back.. She still knew him. Well, sort of. It took a while for her to get used to the changes. The straight hair, the somewhat different attitude, his fame and all that jazz. But eventually she was used to this new Vesper. Then there was another Vesper, the current one. More calm and also more affectionate, something that she loved. Really loved. So of course she would never say no to receiving a massage. For one, she felt as though she really needed one and two, she loved the fact that even though she had changed his plans, gotten something in her favor he had still found a way for them to still do something together. “Yeah, well I would never say now. You've been trained for this, must be a guitarist thing,” Sabina giggled as he led her up the stairs, ducking into the bathroom.

I’m not perfect but I keep trying, ‘Cause that’s what I said I would do from the start, I am not alive if I’m lonely, So please don’t leave, Vesper smirked a little. “Oh please no! Not diaper duty… Anything but diaper duty.” he mock-whined, shaking his head slightly. In some ways, he understood why she said he didn’t need to make it up to her. He did. But he couldn’t help but feel that he should have taken diaper duty until Jacob was potty trained. She hadn’t asked him to knock her up, he’d just accidently done it. If anyone was at fault, it was definitely him. Sure, Sabina had made the first verbal move… But he’d been the one to say he wanted more than friendship. He’d taken the first step by kissing her. And what… A week later? Some friend he’d turned out to be. He should have known better than to jump into that so fast. He shouldn’t have let all those pent up feelings just explode on the trip… He usually had rules about sleeping with girls, he had to have rules. With the image his band held, he needed to be careful, he couldn’t just sleep around. He’d done good, until it came to Sabina. He’d thrown caution to the wind with her. Did he regret it? In some ways. He loved being with her, loved being able to find her in his house and be able to just kiss her, because he could. He loved being away from the fame, hidden away with her. He loved being able to be affectionate with someone he cared about, especially that it was Sabina. But the pregnancy? As much as he had half accepted it, he could have lived without.
“Then we should be prepared for having him sleeping with us because of all the nightmares…” Vesper chuckled, shaking his head. He’d been raised on horror movies… Sort of. His mother had been busy for most evenings, at functions with the philharmonic or lessons when he was little, so he’d spent his nights doing what he wanted. Watching scary movies with junk food had been the big one until he’d gotten a little older and his mother quit the philharmonic. But by then he wasn’t scared of them anymore. “Or we’ll have to be good parents and make him wait until he hits the age on the movie cases.” Vesper joked. He wouldn’t enforce that. He realized that movies were rated for a reason, but what kid actually had to wait until he was fourteen to see a 14+ movie? If there was one thing Vesper was going to be sure of, it was that his kid wasn’t like him. Jacob would never be the dork, the outcast in school. Vesper didn’t care what he’d have to do to make sure of that, but he would. He’d never really brought that up… Why? A few reasons… Sabina liked that he was a dork. He could tell that his alien comments had been like a shot of glee to her. She had always adored his silly perspective on life… He didn’t know what she’d say to him if he mentioned his fear. He didn’t want to deal with an argument if that was what it led to, so he’d keep it to himself.
Maybe the fact they knew each other so well was why they fit together well. He wouldn’t say they were perfect, because they were far from it. They had spats and he knew he had a temper that could get off the rails if he didn’t watch himself. They were way too young for what they’d gotten themselves into, they weren’t where they wanted to be… So yes. They weren’t perfect. But he knew deep down that all the problems were okay, and that he could deal with them if Sab was at his side. He wasn’t exactly cool with everything, but he could deal with it if she was there. She’d proven that when she’d found him back in pieces back in month four. He figured it was because she wasn’t just another girlfriend… She was his best friend. She always had been, together just made them… More affectionate. Deep down, they were still just Vesper and Sabina.
He watched her duck into the bathroom and smirked a little to himself, letting go of her hand to move towards their bedroom. As nice as it would be to fill the tub for her, he didn’t know what temperature she wanted, so it was better to let her do it as she wanted. She could add whatever the hell to the water if she so chose, pick the heat… It just worked better in his opinion. He himself was quickly changing his jeans to a pair of swim trunks, just because of the comfort. He was sitting on the marble around the bathtub, so it might not be perfectly dry and he had to squish himself a little to fit. But it worked, wearing shorts just made it easier. He snagged he fluffiest bathrobe he could find. One from Paris. It’d be too big for her, but he doubted she’d mind much when she climbed out of the tub. He left the room and headed back into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him while placing the bathrobe on the counter. “what did you mean I was built for this because of my guitar?” He asked her curiously as he entered, cocking a brow.
